L&M Energy Limited (LME) is a Wellington-based company with a dual focus on conventional and unconventional oil and gas exploration and has been listed on both the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges since 2007 (ASX/NZX: LME).
The L&M name has a long tradition of natural resource exploration and development going back to its founding in the 1930s by Tas McKee.
LME’s current exploration focus is on both conventional oil and gas prospects and unconventional resources in the form of Coal Seam Gas (CSG), Shale Gas and Underground Coal Gasification (UCG). LME has exposure to 274PJ CSG reserves (3P) and is strategically positioned to develop up to 1 Tcf in the south of New Zealand’s South Island.
LME intends to pursue aggressive short term growth in oil and gas exploration in its Taranaki permits over the next two years. Longer term, we are well positioned for legacy growth through the development of shale gas and UCG permits in the South and North Island, respectively.
